Tree Planting

A couple of weeks ago, Auntie Cammie and Uncle Simon got married YAYyyyy!! I (Elise) was lucky enough to be their flower girl (mom and dad forgot their camera that day…so no pics sorry folks…BUT we did get a nice wedding present from Cammie and Simon – TREES (saplings) to plant!

We trekked out to the forest near our house and Abby and I each got our own Saplings to plant!

Elise: Shovel and tree ready! Let’s go!

Abby: I wonder if I can eat this?

Dirt comes out…tree goes in.

That tree looks like it will grow MIGHTY TALL…all it needs is…

A little bit of WATER!!

All done now! Home time!

And of course since Abby didn’t get a chance to do much in the forest, I (Elise) always have to make sure I keep my mui mui (Abby) entertained too!

Daddy’s Special Day

Over the weekend we celebrated Father’s Day and Daddy’s “New Decade” Birthday.

First, we gave daddy time off to play tennis by going to the library & local Sobey’s carnival in the morning:

Arrrrr! Princess! Hand over your treasures!

Abby…uhhhmmm….ok!

Then we had a party for daddy; we’re so glad “Mae-ba” (ie. Eva) & Khrish were able to come play with us for the afternoon!

Got to try ice cream cake for the first time!

…and also enjoying blueberries & chicken drumsticks while watching daddy play with his friends.

Vancouver Trip 2013

Another wonderful time visiting family in Vancouver this year!  Thanks Po Po’s and Gong Gong’s!

Abby and Elise were showered with beautiful and stylish clothing from cousins and aunties (Thanks Yipo, Claire biew yi/Kyra jieh jieh, Carrie yi yi and Cecily jieh jieh!)

Abby: “All those other kids with the pumped up kicks you better run better run…” Cuz Abby’s gonna get ya!

And of course some good times playing nicely as little princesses…

Getting into a whole basket full of trouble!! (eventually that basket and plant ended up on the floor!)

Elise had a GREAT time at White Rock beach!

Despite not wanting to get her SHOES dirty (as above) she had no problems with getting her HANDS nice and dirty!

And of course…the poor seagulls were amusing! (although probably not too amused)

The kiddos got a chance to visit Tai Po Po (Great Grandma) – Abby shared her toys…

…and Elise drew a picture for Tai Po Po.

And what visit to Vancouver would be complete without a full on ensemble with the girls and Po Po!
