Abby Eating!

So Abby has started to try SOLIDS!  We started with cereal and getting as adventurous as…peas!

Here’s a video of her first few attempts at food.  She liked it at first…until she had an unpleasant aftermath.  Our favourite expression is when she eats peas – she looks like a future food critic! (Maybe mom & dad have been watching too much Top Chef…)

Abby’s New Skills

Abby’s really been growing up quickly these past few months.  Look! She’s picked up reading!

Umm….she’s working on it…

She has however amazed us with her rolling prowess.  The first time she rolled she did both front to back AND back to front! No wonder it took her a little longer…she likes to make sure she’s got things JUST right before even trying!

She’s also getting to be quite observant…when we put her in the swing to get her to fall asleep…she will examine the buckles quite closely as if she’s plotting her GREAT escape!

We are so very proud of our little princess!

Christmas Time!

What a wonderful Christmas season it’s been!  It all kicks off with Elise’s first Christmas concert.  Here she is in her party outfit – thanks Uncle Clark & Auntie Tracy for the beautiful white wrap, Uncle Wylie & Auntie Carrie for the gorgeous red dress and Yi-Gong and Yi-Po for the cute black Mary Jane. 

(seems like Mama & Bah-Bah don’t buy me very many clothes)

Elise’s preschool class doing a rendition of “Shake Your Sillies Out”.  If you can’t find her, she’s wearing the outfit above.

Next, we put up our Christmas tree.  What beautiful lights!

Actually…we just strung some Christmas lights on our house plant. 

We got to spend some quality family time over the holidays:

We got an ACTUAL Christmas tree for a great price on Boxing Day.  Elise did a very thorough inspection of all the lights.

Abby…also did her own version of inspection…with her MOUTH!

The girls also had a wonderful time with each other.  Elise is really starting to take on and enjoy her role as dai jieh-jieh (big sister)

Abby had a fun time opening her first Christmas present…

…and really enjoyed the wrapping!  We had a hard time trying to get it out of her tight grasp!
