I Have HANDS?!

It has truly been an amazing blessing and miracle to watch as Elise grows bigger, stronger and learns more and more about this world each day!

She is becoming so alert and aware now and she’s learning to see and realize she has SOME control over her hands!

And now that she has become AWARE of her hands…watch how she uses them so skillfully just a couple days later!

Pretty nuts to think that this is ALL completely new to her…hands…who woulda thought it’d be so complicated and amazing!!

Sorry about that parental bragging rant…but…we’re proud parents…what can we say? =)

Couch PO-TAY-TOHHHH!

Elise has been really developing her neck muscles well!  She is getting strong enough to sit in couches and chairs somewhat comfortably (with support of course)  And of course mommy and daddy like to pose her with ALL sorts of different supports…

Wow I’m Talking Already?!

Elise has been growing and changing so quickly and so much!  Here are some more pics and videos.

She has become so alert and “talkative” when she’s: Happy, fed, changed, warm and not sleepy/fussy…high maintenance girl? Nahhh! heheh.

Weather here in KW has started to get a bit chilly…and so when we go out “on the town” she usually is dressed in her hat and socks (and sometimes shoes).

She’s such a squirmy little girl now as you may be able to tell from these still pictures…but…

Play Date and SHOE SHOPPING!

So…we had our first play date this week! YAY!! How did it go you ask? well…let’s see…

Hannah Joy Mansfield and Elise En-Hui Wang – just chilling out together.

My playdate started out ok…we were just hanging out together…and everything was going quite smoothly until…

We got into a little argument…that made me kinda mad!

So…I PUNCHED HER!

And then all heck broke loose!

Until our mommies (Vanessa -  you know is my mommy, and that other mommy is Karen)…came in and made settled us down.

I think we’ll be good friends…one of these days, once we figure out what’s going on in this world! (Don’t worry, nobody really got hurt in those photos…we were just posing for that “fight” scene)

To take my mind off the big play date – mom took me to my most favourite place in the house…

My SHOE CLOSET! (thanks to all the aunties and uncles who have been so kind to give me these pretty shoes! (I think I have more than mom does!)

I don’t know if' I fully understand how to wear shoes yet…one minute I think I’ve got it…the next minute…well…you can see for yourself!

After all of that fun…daddy had to make sure I had my “lessons” for the day…he’s kind’ve a nerd sometimes…but it’s ok I understand that he had to go through it his whole life too…But I just give him the ol’ Cross-eyed look and he usually gets the idea.

.Heheh…THAT’ll teach him!

Miscellaneous Week…Enjoy!

This past week has been quite the time for celebrations and meeting new people!

Firstly our church family had lovingly thrown a baby shower for Elise and she got to mix and mingle with some other babies (or toddlers rather) for a little bit.

Then, we took her to see her first BUSKERS festival in Uptown Waterloo.

Crazy buskers!!

Then we went inside the mall for nice little Air Conditioned break…and made a big fuss inside the mall before passing out for a nice picture!

Then we had a visit with Uncle Clark!

THEN I had another party to get ready for as Nai-Nai and Yeh-Yeh had their friends over to meet me! Of course…a girl’s gotta look her best for these new friends!

(Sometimes I get a little nervous about meeting new people…sorry about the baby barf)

Buuut, daddy calms be down by playing with me!

So here was the first dress I tried on…Daddy and Mommy wanted me to look like a paperbag princess but I think it clashed with my hair colour…so I asked them to give me something a little more….
