We realized that after this whole month of her being around…there really weren’t that many “Family” photos…plenty of Elise photos…but not with mom and dad…here are just a few.

Happy 1 month birthday Elise! =)
Wow, we cannot believe that it has already been 4 weeks since Elise has been with us in the world! She has grown so very quickly – she is now weighing 9lbs 4oz which means she’s gained 2lbs 5oz at the 75th percentile!
She has definitely gotten much stronger too! – see her neck muscles at work here! (ps – mechanical sound in background…if you don’t know…don’t ask. )
All that muscle has gotta come from somewhere! Well you got it, we’ve got ROLLS like there’s no tomorrow!

All shapes and sizes of rolls folks! And with all that growing…I’m still not too tired to strike a pose for the camera…I like to call this one: “The Cutest Baby Ever” pose…yeah….I know…gonna be a heartbreaker…what can I say!

After all that activity, with the Toe family, cooking and studying now it’s time for a bath!

So…as the weeks go by, we have started to really enjoy parenthood! There are so many things that we like to enjoy with our beautiful daughter Elise…
Like reading bedtime stories… (“Why does Daddy make me study so hard?”)
And drawing little toe families when baby’s fast asleep...
And mealtimes… (“What’s for dinner Daddy?”)

Baby Elise has been doing really well with her breast feedings now! She is such a great little eater, and then when she’s all finished eating, she’ll sit nicely for her burping time too!
Since we have no idea how much milk she’s getting from the breast (unlike bottle feeding we know the exact volume she’s getting) we were told to simply watch her cues…and we’ve come to learn that when she’s got the “Milk Drunk” look…she’s good to go!
Right after she eats – she’ll be uncomfortable and need to be burped. Then she’ll settle into a nice milk drunk…followed sometimes by a “happy dream” state!
Once she’s all burped and happy – she falls into a nice naptime where you can only wonder what she’s dreaming about! (smiles at: 21s. 31s and 1:40 heheh)
So here are some naked pictures of baby…we have tried to conserve her modesty but her cute butt just had to be shared!
We always wonder what she’s thinking about, she has such contemplative expressions sometimes!
Then other times…we’re pretty sure she’s not thinking about much, perhaps simply wondering why she’s dangling from her dad’s arm.
Most times, she’s simply just cute…for the sake of being cute!
(PS…we kinda dropped her during this photo shoot…but she landed in a nice soft pile of blankets! PHEWF! good thinking daddy!)

She’s 11 days old now! We’ve had the chance to take many pictures and spend lots of quality time to really appreciate the finer details of this beautiful creation!
Vanessa is breastfeeding now throughout the day and pumping enough to feed Elise through the night with a bottle…so HOORAY FOR SLEEP!
We’ll be heading on our first “long distance” road trip this weekend for a wedding in Toronto! Wish us luck!
